What are TRIO Programs?
The Federal TRIO Programs are educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Fresno City College TRIO programs include Upward Bound, Student Support Services Program (SSS) and Educational Talent Search (ETS). They are outreach and support programs targeted to serve and assist low-income, first-generation high school and college students, and students with disabilities to prepare for and succeed in college. The SSS program for FCC students partners with the federal Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) program.
