BRIAN TESSLER
I am honored to be the Fresno City College Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Fresno City College has long had a history of athletic excellence. It is my hope to
help guide the Women’s Basketball Program to unfamiliar heights in order to meet the high standards expected of every athletic team at Fresno City College. In order to do so, it is imperative that the team consists of players who have a strong work ethic both on the basketball court and in the classroom. The expectations of each and every player will be raised for the purposes of creating a positive environment necessary to build a successful Women’s Basketball Program.
We intend to play at a frantic pace for forty minutes. Our full-court style of play will be very exciting. This means putting pressure on our opponent at both ends of the floor. In doing so, we hope to wear teams down both physically and mentally over the course of the game. I like an up-tempo style of play for the following reasons:
1. It allows me to play more players in a game.
2. It brings out the best in our players.
3. It’s enjoyable for our fans to watch.
The next few months will be very important for our basketball team. It’s a time when the foundation for building a successful program must be done. This includes building team chemistry between the returning players and the new recruits, improving individual skills, developing the proper work ethic, and getting the players to buy into our system.
Lastly, I would like to thank our College President, Athletic Director, and the entire coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to be the basketball coach. I look forward to coaching the Fresno City College Women’s Basketball Team. Each year the goal will be to get to the State Tournament in order to put ourselves in a position to win the State Championship.
Respectfully,
Brian Tessler

CHRIS FISHER
Chris is entering his ninth year as an Assistant Coach for the Women’s Basketball Team. He and his wife Tamara, have recently had an addition to their family; Karis Elizabeth Fisher , born on June 13th, 2006 . It’s no secret that Chris plays an invaluable role toward the success of the Basketball Program. His dedication to the players is unquestionable. More importantly, Chris and I have become very good friends over the past nine years. When I look back at all the decisions I’ve made in my lifetime, I know one of the best decisions was hiring Chris Fisher onto the basketball staff.

JEFF KOSINSKI
This will be Jeff’s 6th year as an Assistant Coach. I must say, it’s been a great six years. Jeff made an immediate impact and continues to make valuable suggestions everyday in practice. Jeff has great instincts when it comes to making game adjustments. I should also add that Jeff is responsible for my recent engagement. It was Jeff that made the suggestion I call Christine, because he felt we would make a great couple. Thank goodness I took his advice.

BRENDA FRAZIER
Brenda Frazier has been an Assistant Coach for the Fresno City College Women’s Basketball Team for the past twelve years. She has witnessed 4 head coaching changes in that short time. Hopefully, she has seen the last of the coaching changes for a long time. The first question the returning players asked me when I took over the position was whether or not I was going to retain Brenda. After meeting with Brenda, the answer was a resounding YES. Brenda is very dedicated when it comes to Fresno City College. She has a tremendous work ethic, and I have no doubt Brenda will be a very positive influence to our entire basketball program here at Fresno City College.
GLENN HOFFMAN
It is with great pleasure that I introduce our newest addition to the staff in Glenn Hoffman. Glenn joins us after spending the last 6 years at Buchanan High School as the Head Girl’s Basketball Coach. Glenn’s teams at Buchanan High School have always been known to be extremely fundamentally sound and well disciplined. All together, Glenn has coached basketball for the last 22 years. Glenn will have an immediate impact on our basketball program. I am looking forward to working with him.
